Allen L. Lincoln, age 70, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Spectrum Health-United Hospital in Greenville. The adopted son of Grant & Beulah (Benner) Lincoln, he was born on February 27, 1942 in Greenville and was a 1960 graduate of Greenville High School.
On July 31, 1965, in Carson City, he married Nancy L. Bush and together they enjoyed 47 years of marriage. In 2004, Al retired from the former Electrolux Home Products after 38 years of service and had been a member of U.A.W. Local 137. For many years he participated in league bowling -- even being state champion in 1991 -- as well as golfing, and going to the races. He enjoyed playing horseshoes with his Monday night group at Veteran's Park and was an all-season fan of the Detroit Lions, Tigers, and Pistons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Nile Hamp, Pete Kelley, Lyle Kelley, Robert Kelley, Eleanor Kelley, Betty Sheldon, Harold Kelley, James Kelley, Helen Dines, Catherine Cooper, and Fred Lincoln; and a brother-in-law, Roger Bush.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy L. Lincoln of Greenville; their two sons, Scott & Tammy Lincoln of Sheridan, and Troy & Jamie Lincoln of Greenville; five grandchildren, Zachary Lincoln, Trevor Lincoln, Victoria Orean, David Hill, and Jacqueline Hill; a sister, Dora LaCross of Alma; siblings-in-law, Elva Kelley of Greenville, John & Karen Bush of Belding, and Dean & Deloris Bush of Sheridan; a very special nephew, Darwin & Troi Kelley of Greenville; and many, many other dear nieces and nephews.
