Alisha Marie Meyers, age 33, of Kentwood, Michigan, our beautiful kindhearted Mother of three left us unexpectedly on Sunday, January 5, 2025. She was born May 7, 1991, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Alisha leaves behind, her amazing children, Kobe, Amelya, and Arya; her loving mother, Mary; father, Dave; brothers, David and Josh (Jenny); sister, Nikki (Ian); nephew, Brayden; nieces, Addy and Ava; five step-siblings; and three fur babies.
An amazing Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Granddaughter, and Friend, will be greatly missed beyond words. Her big heart and lovely smile will be cherished and remembered by all.
Alisha grew up a happy-go-lucky sweet girl with dimples that could melt your heart. Her easy-going personality attracted many good friends throughout her life. By far, the best part of her life was being a devoted loving mother to her tribe of three. They were her world, protecting them like a momma bear teaching them to be kind and caring like herself. They spent their time together watching movies (Marvel), playing card games, board games, video games, showing them her competitive nature. Summers were fun having fires in the backyard, enjoying laughs, and cooking their favorites: seafood boils and ribs with homemade mac & cheese. Family get togethers for holidays, birthdays or sports were always great times, she always brought her sparkle to all our events.
An avid foodie she enjoyed sushi, spicy Ramon, and cooking all her kid’s favorites. She made time to learn traditional family dishes from both of her grandmothers for her tribe.
Always creative and quick-witted, she appreciated a good sense of humor, sharing inside jokes with her siblings and attending shows with her favorite comedians. A concert goer and music fan, she enjoyed listening to her record collection. Also, a lover of everything “Marvel”, she even named her fur babies Nebula, T’Challa, & Shuri after her favorite characters in the movies. She had a sentimental side and cared deeply for all living things. When Nebula had two large batches of puppies, she made sure they were all placed in loving homes along with making a Facebook page to keep in touch with them. She had a passion for flowers, being outside, and a newfound joy for gardening and growing her own veggies.
Alisha’s bright happy spirit and good-natured attitude will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Alisha is preceded in death by her step-father, Tim Taggart; uncle, Mike Meyers; grandpa, Steve Meyers; and grandparents, Gerrit & Bonnie Zylstra.
