Alice Louise Stockton, age 59, of Coral, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 21, 2007, at Spectrum Health United Memorial-United Campus, Greenville. The daughter of Audrey L. (Smith) & Peter J. Scadin, she was born on Nov. 15, 1947 in Greenville. On July 29, 1967, in Rockford, she married Donald Lee Stockton. A devoted wife and mother, she delighted in spending time with her grandkids. Alice had worked as a nurses aide at the former Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview and also at Metron of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by father, Peter J. Scadin in 1995; her mother, Audrey L. Scadin in 1997; and her husband, Don Stockton on July 27, 2000.
Surviving are a daughter, Keisha Stockton of Coral; three sons, Kevin Stockton of St. Louis, Korey & Tonya Stockton of South Carolina, and Kipp & Latasha Stockton of Lakeview; eight precious grandchildren, Kylee Stockton, Rikki Stockton, Brittany Buchner, Katelynn Stockton, Kaleb Stockton, Trevor Bennett, Ty Stockton, and Gordon Kenney; a brother, Thomas Scadin of Grand Rapids; a special nephew, Lee Scadin, and a special niece, Tammy Arends, and their families; and many cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with Pastor Ted Johnson of the Lakeview Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Langston. Visitation is Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where envelopes for memorial contributions to either Hospice or the American Lung Association will be available.
