Alice Snyder

Alice Jeanette "Jane" Snyder, age 90, of Langston, passed away Saturday evening, May 22, 2021 at her home under the loving care of her family. The daughter of Adrian Edward & Sadie Alice (Cole) Gibbie, she was born on June 28, 1930 in Stanton. On July 28, 1948, in Greenville, she married William Hugh "Bill" Snyder, and together they raised five children and enjoyed over 60 years of marriage until Bill passed away on March 11, 2009. Jane also worked outside the home at the former Ore-Ida Foods plant in Greenville and enjoyed camping, traveling, finding a bargain and visiting with friends at the Trufant Flea Market, and her and Bill's annual anniversary trip to Sault Ste. Marie, but most of all her greatest joy was found in time spent with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Snyder; and two sisters, Doris Bartholomew and Betty Miller. Surviving are her children, Dawn & Floyd Bristol of Langston, Rocky Snyder of Langston, Wilma Swanger of Belding, Debbie & Pat Draper of Sheridan, and David & Joan Snyder of Ionia; twenty-five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville. Graveside committal services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery in Langston with the Rev. Dave Perry officiating.
