Alfred Andrew “Muggs” Hunt, Jr., age 73, of Edmore, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the Laurels of Carson City.
The son of Ida Mae Herald & Alfred Andrew Hunt, Sr., he was born on April 11, 1952 in Sheridan, Michigan. Muggs was a hard worker, working on dairy farms, in the oil fields, and doing maintenance work.
On December 16, 1969, he married Jane Pawneshing, and together they enjoyed nearly 56 years of marriage and raised three children. Muggs enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, and mushroom hunting, a tradition that has been passed down.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Hunt, Sr. and Ida Herald; a son, Brian Hunt; and two brothers, Frank Hunt and Lyle Hunt.
Alfred will be missed by his wife, Jane Hunt; their children, Tracey Thrush of Edmore, Kelly & Rex Hunt of Edmore; grandchildren, Andrew & Tiayana Thrush, and Brady Harrison; two great-granddaughters, Paiton Thrush and Audrey Thrush; two sisters, Ruth & Lonny McQueen of Vestaburg, and Rose & Gary VanBuskirk of Edmore; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family is 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the First Church of God, 123 E. Main Street, Edmore, where memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
