Alan Wondergem

Alan J. Wondergem, age 76, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, after his battle with cancer. He was born on September 18, 1945, in Allendale, MI to Marcus & Henrietta (Scott) Wondergem. Alan proudly served his country as a Medic in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was employed by United Foam Products (previously Stephenson & Lawyer) for nearly 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycles, working on cars, and going to old car shows and museums. Survivors include two siblings, sister, Norma Brunger, and brother, Ed Wondergem, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Neal & Harry; sister, Audrey Frye; brother-in-law, Phil Brunger; andand sisters-in-law Dolores (Dee) and Joyce Wondergem. At his request, his body was donated to Science Care in Denver for medical research and no service was desired. A Veteran's memorial marker will be placed in the family plot at Georgetown Cemetery.
