Alan Hartwick

Alan G. Hartwick, age 67, of Tawas City, passed away, Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Aleta E. Lutz Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Saginaw following a lingering illness. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 15, 1943 to Glen & Clara Belle (Pyles) Hartwick. He is the father of Glen, Brandi, Matt and Dawn. Also surviving are his mother, Clara Belle Hartwick; a sister, Sandra J. Hanson; and many family members and friends. Glen had worked as a butcher, cook, heavy equipment operator, a fireman for the Railroad and a truck driver. He enjoyed cooking and telling stories to his family and friends also, making new friends and being a computer wiz. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen. Burial will take place on Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Saginaw V.A.
