Abby Byle, of Grandville, Michigan, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, October 5, 2026 at Trillium Woods, following a courageous four-year battle with dementia.

Abby was a proud South High Trojan and cherished meeting her fellow alumni friends at Marge's Donut Den. She had a deep love for all of God's creatures, especially birds, cats, and dogs. Most of all, Abby adored babies and helped raise many children over the years through her in-home daycare business.

Abby was preceded in death by her son, Denny Byle Jr. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Denny Byle; her daughter, Ainslie (Peter) Vandersluis and their children, Sam, Cori, and Kellen; and her son, Derek (Terilyn) Byle and their daughters, Madison and Emma.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Makayla and other devoted caregivers for all of the exceptional love, support, and help they provided to Abby and the entire family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice or C-Snip.

A memorial gathering will take place at a later date. Interment will be at the Grandville Cemetery.
